Orchard Kids

We are now offering a new Kids' Own Worship program for children age 4 years to 3rd grade at the 9:00 a.m. service.

We begin with Greet & Gather Room 7
A time for our children to gather together with Mrs. Wright for a time of great singing and lots of energy! All the children come together to connect with each other as a large group before going to their regular Sunday school classes. We also collect our offerings, any items for the Mission Wagon, and hear important announcements. Your child's Sunday School teacher will then walk your child's class to their room for their regular Sunday School Lesson until 11:00 a.m.

***Parents of 3 year olds are encouraged to stay and participate with their child in Sunday School with the 4yr/Kindergarten class.

Children ages 4 years through 3rd grade attending either the 9:00 a.m. or 11:15 a.m. worship services will be dismissed following the Children's Message to attend "Kids' Own Worship." 4th graders and up are encouraged to remain in the worship service with their parents.

Sunday Morning (Summer Worship Hours)

10:30 am Worship
Children ages 4 years through 3rd grade attending the 10:30 worship will be dismissed following the Children's Message to attend Summer Sunday School. 4th graders and up are encouraged to remain in the worship service with their parents.

Wednesday After School
4:30 – 7:15 P.M. BLAST!

BLAST! - an action packed mid-week program for Boy and Girls Learning and Serving Together, for children in kindergarten through 4th grade. We'll "blast off" with Mrs. Wright at the Launching Pad in Fellowship Hall with some high-energy singing and praising with familiar songs. In our small Orbit Crews we'll have a Bible lesson with discussion and activity time.

Orbit Crews will rotate through such activities as creative dramatics, crafts, and computers. We'll be burning off some "rocket fuel" each week with 30 minutes of games and sports!

Kids will share a "kid friendly" dinner and then head upstairs for Sonlight and Promise Choir rehearsals. Mrs. Goodwin will be teaching songs for both the Family Advent Program in December and the Spring Musical.

Come earn points for prizes for memorizing Bible verses, bringing their Bibles, bringing a friend, and other things! Turn your points in for cool prizes at the Blast! Prize Store!

When: 10 week semesters begin in September and January

Cost: $40 per child per semester to cover meals, crafts, and supplies. $90 for three children; family maximum of $100 per semester. (Payment plan is available upon request; call and inquire!)

Parents will be asked to occasionally help our regular volunteers. Sign-up will take place at the first Wednesday session.

OUT OF THIS WORLD FUN!!

We recognize that as students transition between elementary and middle school, they face unique issues. We have developed a program that will help prepare them for some of these challenges. We'll be focusing on building character and a strong sense of self, as well as how to confidently interact and handle the challenges of this age group, using Biblically based curriculum and Christian values.

Activities will include Bible discussion and learning, games, music, computer games, puppetry, special instruments, crafts, service projects, and dinner!

VBS - July 14 through 18, 9:15 am to 12:15 pm

Once again, our VBS will be open to all 4 year olds - those who have just completed fifth grade. 3 year olds who participate in a special program tailored just for them must have a parent/ grandparent volunteering in the building each day they attend.

Registration/volunteer sign up begins June 1st! Registration forms will be available online so check back then. Prior to July 3, the fee is $25 per child, with a family maximum of $65,which includes a CD with the Power Lab music and an iron-on transfer to be placed on a solid colored shirt. The fee is $35 starting July 3.

It’s not rocket science, but help is needed each day! Save those dates and sign up to volunteer!

It was a week of high-falutin' fun at Avalanche Ranch - this year's Vacation Bible School! The kids and adult leaders and volunteers took "a wild ride through God's Word" and learnt all sorts of great things about our awesome God! Take a look at the purty pictures and see for yourself!
