Meet the Staff

Lead Pastor

Rev. Amy Mayo-Moyle is the Lead Pastor of Orchard United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills. Prior to her appointment at Orchard, she served the Clarkston, Britton: Grace and Detroit Metropolitan Churches. Pastor Amy received her Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and her AB from Albion College where she studied sociology. She serves as the chairperson for the Detroit Conference Leadership Team. In 2014 the Detroit Annual Conference awarded her the John Buxton Award for Creative Leadership. Pastor Amy's ministry focuses on relationships, taking particular interest in hospitality and generosity. She is married to Mike and has two children, Allison and Ben. In her free time, she enjoys being at her family cottage on Lake Louise, baking, and entertaining.

Associate Pastor

Nick was appointed as Associate Pastor to Orchard as of July 1, 2019. He has been in youth leadership in some form or another at Orchard United Church for almost a decade.  Among his many duties as Associate Pastor, Nick will be overseeing the Youth Ministry, leading both the senior and junior high youth, as well as leading the Men's Ministry. He is married to Lesley Bonsky, and has one child, Elijah. In his free time, Pastor Nick likes to play and watch baseball (though he is way better at the watching part) and you may also find him in his free time zoning out to video games.

Jantz Black

Director of Music Ministries

Jantz Black joined the Orchard ministry team as full-time Director of Music in July 2019. He has a degree in piano performance, with experience in piano, organ, handbells, praise band, conducting, and composition. Jantz has a wide interest in all kinds of music and worship styles. His dream for Orchard’s music ministries is to engage as many people in as many musical ways as possible. He also has two great kids, Christopher and Maelyn.

Church Administrator

Linda started at Orchard in 2001 when she answered an ad for a youth choir director. From there she has served as the junior high leader; youth director; Club 56 program developer and leader; and is currently the church administrator (which includes all administrative as well as everything multimedia, special publications, and graphics art/design). The favorite part of her job - and her passion - is helping people to experience God in worship, which serves well when she puts on her worship producer hat. Oh, and she sings with the band, man! She's married to Randy. They have three daughters and 8 grandchildren.

Church Secretary

Deanna has been at Orchard since 1993. She joined our front office staff in 2014 as Church Secretary Extraordinaire, bringing with her a keen eye for detail, a heart for people, and a song to brighten the atmosphere! She is a key singer in the Chancel Choir and the Worship Team with her heavenly soprano voice. Deanna is married to Steve Kohl, and has a son, Rob, and two daughters, Allison and Audrey.

Membership and Accounts Receivable Secretary

Suzanne has been Membership Secretary since 1996 and added the responsibilities of Accounts Receivable Secretary in 2003. Her favorite part of the job is keeping track of everyone (and she’s a veritable fount of information!). She loves to know you’ve been here to worship and looks for your names on the attendance sheets every week, taking note of address, phone, or email changes!

Interim Connections Coordinator

Lesley is serving as our Interim Connections Coordinator, welcoming all to our church, helping us stay connected with each other, and coordinating the greeters, ushers, and welcome desk volunteers.

Lesley started attending Orchard in 2006. It didn't take long before she was involved in many different programs. She has been a volunteer with the Middle School and High School Youth Groups, Women's Retreat planning, and has taught various classes throughout the years. In her spare time she loves to read, cook, and spend time with her husband, Pastor Nick, and son, Elijah.

Dr. Tom Clark

Dr. Tom is a clinical psychologist during the week and our organist on Sundays and for special services. Tom started piano lessons at age 4 and, as he says, “The rest is history!” His day job of being a “shrink” has him working with police officers, firefighters, pilots, and athletes, but that doesn’t outshine his love of being organist at Orchard. Some of the top joys in his life are assisting in praise and worship, being a musical blessing to others, and especially playing on one of the largest instruments in the state.

Tom has given concerts in such far-flung venues as the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, and St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Honolulu. He has been on Orchard's staff since 2000, and he adds that every year he has spent at Orchard has helped him grow in his love for the Lord and the ministry of this grace-filled congregation.

Children's Ministry Director

Colleen is thrilled to be a part of our children’s ministry program at OUMC. She comes to us with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and many years of experience in her own classrooms. Colleen met her husband Tim at Michigan State and they have three boys, Rian, Declan, and Eagan. She is passionate about helping the children of Orchard discover their own faith and use their gifts from God to do mission work in the community.

Tracey Huber

Coordinator of Early Childhood Education

Tracey has spent most of her life caring for and/or teaching children — first, as the oldest of four siblings, then as babysitter, daycare worker, and finally teacher and mother. She holds a masters degree in teaching from the University of Virginia and BA from Wayne State University and likes to think she's earned another degree with all the parenting and child development books she's read ;). She taught 7 years in Metro Detroit public high schools before transitioning to staying home to teach her children and tutor others. She is happily married to Chris and is the homeschooling Mom to Jonas, Tobias, and Mattias. Tracey is passionate about teaching children how much they are loved by God, how big His grace is towards them, and how important and capable they are.

Kristen Tesauro

Family Events Coordinator and VBS Director

Kristen Tesauro, a member at Orchard for many years, graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Business and Psychology, but her passion has always been music. She has been performing since she was very young and has been in several shows from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to Oliver to Annie to Sound of Music to A Christmas Carol to Into the Woods.

Kristen loves having the opportunity to spread music, dance, and love to the children of Orchard through her VBS leadership. She also loves to use her event planning skills in coordinating and planning events for the church family.

She is married to her amazing husband, Mike. Together they have a spunky daughter, Emma Grace, and a cute-as-a-button son, Joseph. Orchard has always been a second home to them and they love being part of all the growth and excitement.

Club 456 Leader

Kelly is our Club 456 (our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade ministry) leader. She has been active with our kids and youth for several years, helping out in VBS and our mid-week program by doing all things sports and games. Kelly is married and has three children.
